Meet the Cadena Family
We had the chance to chat with your future neighbors, Jorge and Lisa Cadena, who are set to break ground on their new Santeetlah Lakeside summer vacation home in February. Currently based in Orlando, they’re thrilled to have discovered their perfect mountain homesite to make lasting memories along with their 2 young sons.
“We had been intrigued by the area for years. Unlike some of the other lake communities nearby, Santeetlah Lakeside offers mountains and lake views while still being just a 5-minute drive from Robbinsville, which has everything we need. What made this community stand out to us was that a huge percentage of the land in the area is pristine national forest. It’s extremely quiet and the homes aren’t on top of one another,” says Jorge. “Our homesite’s views look out across the lake to national forests, and our family will be able to enjoy it for years to come.”
After hunting for the perfect place to spend their summers, Jorge and his family have some great insights for future Santeetlah homeowners, too. “I’d want potential buyers to know that there are just not many lots available in this area, and certainly not with everything Lakeside has! I don’t know that I’ve seen anything that has the views, amenities, and cell service…and I’ve looked. They just need to come to that realization and make the commitment of taking that next step. In my search, I didn’t see anything else like it!”

We had the chance to chat with Erica Hiatt, the interior designer of our condo project. With nearly 20 years of experience, she has the creative skills and design knowledge to bring this exciting project to life! She gave us an exclusive glimpse into her process and what you can expect when you make a Santeetlah Lakeside condo yours.
“Interior design is so much more than making a space pretty. I’m involved in technical aspects of the process from documentation to construction as well. For Santeetlah Lakeside, there are two phases of our process. First, I partnered with all teams involved to get an idea of the project vision. I always create a moodboard that really sets the tone of the project and aligns with the overall goals and aesthetic,” says Erica. “Lake Santeetlah reminds me of where I grew up, so I really gravitated toward this project and can’t wait to bring it to life. My vision is spending a weekend at the lake and really creating a home away from home.”
She even gave us a sneak peek into some of the phase 2 design details you’ll find at your future Santeetlah Lakeside condo. “We’ll have stone fireplaces inside and out, hardwood floors, quartz countertops, decorative light fixtures, upgraded packages, and so much more,” she says. “I want to create a space that’s turnkey and comfortable — a home where you can truly relax and unwind.”
